Yoga with Dr.Srinivas at Gudalajara Mexico

             

   I was on a business trip to Mexico in May 2017. Pablo Marquez  expressed interest to arrange for a yoga session with me to folks in Mexico. I told my willingness to share my little  few drops of  yoga knowledge with Mexican yoga enthusiasts . Pablo  Marquez and Marta Gonzalez  were kind enough  to arrange for a yoga session on Sunday (21st May 2017) morning. The practice session was held for two hours in the morning followed by an hour of Q and A on yoga philosophy as well as on particular asana recommendation for certain body conditions. There were 20 participants. I felt very happy to lead  this session.  Thanks to all the participants for their dedicated involvement , participation and their time on a Sunday morning. I wish good health and well-being to all folks .

    Sunday's experience was different from our regular Yoga practice, focusing on breathing and meditation.

    There was a moment when I felt that my body was detached from my conscience which even made me feel a little fear, however I understand is part of the practice to control that type of emotions.

    I will comment with Marta the possibility of having some sessions focused on meditation to strengthen the mind, which I understand will also improve body practice.

I want to thank Dr. Srinivas for sharing with us a yoga session last Sunday, my experience was highly satisfactory, I was able to realize how wonderful world we live in as two different worlds can convey in such an ancient discipline. It was all about focusing in our breathing and how our breathing take our bodies to the next limit, yes it is physical effort but also and mostly a mind effort, he invited us to think it like that. The knowledge he shared with us in class about the mind variations was highly valuable to me, as we tend to judge ourselves and not be merciful to us and to each other. I heard these words plenty of times.."Observe your body", "Observe your mind", that would be my favorite outcome, I will try more and more to observe myself. Thank you for such a great experience.

  3. Thanks you Sesha for giving us the opportunity to experience such wonderful yoga experience by teaching us a little piece of what you know about this Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline.
    I was wondered on how you instructed us to do breath control and the importance of it. The meditation session was also awesome I enjoyed it a lot... looking forward to get you here again very soon..

Excelente experincia una clase con el doctor Srinivas¡ Nos mostró un camino diferente en la yoga al mezclar cuerpo, mente y espiritu...Me motivó mucho a seguri con mis practicas de respiracion;ya que al combinarlos pude sentir el trabajo mas profundo en mi cuerpo al dia siguiente del ejercicio.Espero poder tener la oportunidad de volver a tener una sesion de yoga von el Doctor¡ Muchas gracias¡¡¡

Excelente experiencia poder tener una sesion de yoga con el doctor Srinivas¡ Nos motró como trabajar la yoga por medio del cuerpo, mente y espiritu.Aprendi como puede variar tanto un ejercicio sensillo con respiracion conciente.Al dia siguiente del la sesion de yoga, pude sentir el trabajo mucho mas profundo en mi cuerpo de los ejercicios de una dia anterior.Tambien quiero mencionar que el ejercicio de meditacion y relajacion fueron muy gratificantes.Espero poder tener la oportunidad de tener otra sesion con el doctor¡ Gracias por su tiempo y por compartir tan preciado conocimiento..Gracias

  6. First of all, I am very glad to Dr. Srinivas for give us a little time to share a few of his knowledge about the deep world of yoga.

    I feel so comfortable after the yoga sesión, Dr. Srinivas transmits peace and tranquility to me before and after the class.

    I learned that is very important the way I breath while I do tha hazañas; and I feel more comfortable if I do it correctl. Even if I am in a stressful time I focus on my breathing and stop doing what I am doing for a moment and then I started to feel better and relexed.
    For me yoga is a way of living, a way to stay, and a way I can interact and react to the outer world in a good way, with patience and love, and to be more humble with myself and the others.

  7. Hola Sesha, fue todo un honor para mi asistir a una clase de yoga tan enriquecedora, como alumna, con un maestro como tu, que trasmite tanto bienestar y amor incondicional hacia los demas.
    Me encanto que nos mostraras la parte mas dificil en el camino de yoga que es encontrarse a uno mismo.
    Despues de la clase me senti super relajada.

  8. I was invited by my yoga instructor, Martha González, to a session with Dr. Srinivas last Sunday.

    Through his guidance, I was able to align my mind, breathing and postures, and enjoy the endless benefits of practising yoga. It was a rewarding experience. Time flew by as I was be able to let go and relax.

    After the session, it became clear that a daily and conscious yoga practice is vital to achieve balance in all three physical, pranic and mental bodies.

    Thank you very much Dr. Srinivas for generously sharing your time and knowledge with us. I will forever treasure the calming energy you transmitted to us during the class.

  9. Gracias Srinivas por compartir y ayudar a interpretar la razón de ser de todo lo que nos rodea. Para mí la sesión de yoga que tuvimos el domingo fue una experiencia muy bonita, a pesar de que tengo tiempo practicando, ese día logré percibir como mi respiración me hacía sentir algunas emociones y movimientos de algunos órganos. Sentí la suavidad de los movimientos y el momento de relajación creo yo que lo sintió todo mi cuerpo.

    Eres una persona que transmite paz y tranquilidad. Comparto contigo tu comentario que: "La yoga te hace más humilde y sensible."

    Gracias por compartir este momento con nosotros y seguir ayudando desde donde estás, a que nos tomemos un poco de nuestro tiempo y observemos nuestro entorno para compararlo con nuestro día a día. La yoga me ha enseñado a buscar soluciones a cualquier síntoma o manifestación que tiene mi cuerpo.

  10. Thank you Dr Srinivas for this wonderful experience. During this practice I had the chance to bring my husband along, he was reluctant at first but very happy he joined after the class. We were both at peace and I may see in a different mood during the week. I think we were able to reach that beautiful state of "quiet" through your guidance during the yoga postures and the savasana.

    Yoga practice in Mexico is very similar but it tends to focus a little more in a workout session, your session focused more on our breathing and connection to our mind which as you explained is the real intent of yoga. I was happy to hear the names of postures in the original language, although couldn't learn all :)
